In 2020, Kyle Desantis completed his Eagle Project in the midst of the global coronavirus pandemic. He wanted to give back to Brewster VFW Post 672, who had provided meeting space for his Cub Scout Den back when he started as a Cub Scout in 2008, so he created the “Remember Our Vets” project.
The project recognizes veterans in two ways. In the village of Brewster, you will see Remembrance Banners on the streetlamp poles, spread out between The Brewster Fire Department and Veterans Park. The second way is through interviews, where the honorees tell their stories of serving the United States of America.
